Supplementary Submission – Modern Slavery Amendment (Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner) Bill 2023

The Law Council of Australia provided a supplementary submission on the Modern Slavery Amendment (Australian Anti-Slavery Commissioner) Bill 2023 (the Bill), following the Law Council’s appearance before the Senate Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee on 19 February 2024.
The witnesses appearing for the Law Council have taken note of two questions:
- Regarding the definition of ‘sensitive information’ in the Bill
- Regarding investigative powers for the Commissioner
