CS 14 Proposed Remake of Relief for Employee Incentive Schemes (CS 14)
This submission is made by the Financial Services Committee of the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and relates to CS 14, which the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) released for consultation on 20 January 2025.
The Committee supports ASIC’s proposal to remake the EIS class orders and agrees with ASIC’s statement in CS 14 that the class orders continue to form a necessary and useful part of the legislative framework. The Committee has only the following brief comments to make.
The Committee does not object to the current EIS class orders both being reflected in the Draft Instrument, and considers that a net reduction in the number of ASIC legislative instruments is efficient.
